Eligilibility for Membership


Procedure for Admission to Membership of the Chapter:

Any person desirous of becoming an ordinary / life member shall, on a prescribed form, apply to the respective Chapter/Central Governing Council which shall have the power to accept or reject any application.
 
In case of rejection, the applicant shall have the right to appeal to the General Body of the Society where the matter shall be decided on majority of votes.
 
The membership card will be issued by the centre. In case of rejection, the applicant shall have the right to appeal to the General Body of the Society where the matter shall be decided on majority of votes.
 

Privileges of Members:
The ordinary and life member shall have the right to:
 

Participate in all the activities and management of the society.
 
Receive all publications of the Society.
 
Vote according to the constitution of the Society. Any other privileges conferred by the constitution of the Socie The Associate and Honorary members will have all the rights mentioned above except the right to vote or to contest election for any post
 

Termination of Membership:
 

Failure to pay the subscription within two months of the due date for renewal of membership at respective chapter.
 
Committing a breach of discipline by violating the rules and acting in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the Society.
 
Membership can be terminated by the Central Governing Council. Any member whose membership has been terminated shall lose his rights and privileges as a member
 

Procedure for Restoration of Membership:
 

Vote according to the constitution of the Society. Any other privileges conferred by the constitution of the Socie The Associate and Honorary members will have all the rights mentioned above except the right to vote or to contest election for any post
 

Procedure for Restoration of Membership:
 

In case of non-payment of fee, the membership can be restored after payment of all outstanding dues.
 
In case of conduct being detrimental to the cause of the Society, The Governing Council may restore the membership after a written assurance by the member.
 
In case the membership is not restored by the Governing Council, the member shall have the right to appeal to the General Body of the Chapter, which by a majority of 2/3rd of the members present, may restore the membership.
